Azuki is a small bean that is used widely in Asian desserts, which are grown in East Asia and Himalayas. Azuki is loaded with nutrients like potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamin B and el al. Imuraya USA, wanting to continue the tradition in the US, decided to make the Azuki in their daifuku using that same recipe as Imuraya Co., Ltd, which has not been changed since 1896.
